Day 1- Arriving in Guilin
You will meet up your private guide at the arrival hall where a classy private car being driven by a well-dressed, experienced driver will take you to your hotel. Make sure not smoke in the car. Upon arrival, your guide will help you check in.
Guilin has beautiful sceneries, especially at night, making it a great place to unwind and overcome jet lag. For night cruises and lakeside walks, the “Two Rivers and Four Lakes” offer a pleasant and relaxing environment.
Day 2: Cruising From Guilin To Yangshuo and Embarking On a Countryside Tour in Yangshuo
After taking your breakfast, your private guide and driver will take you to the dock where you will board Li River Cruise to enjoy the beautify sceneries along the Li River. Some of the spectacular things you will see include huge water buffaloes dragging carts as well as green bamboo groves. The cooling off environment in the middle of the water will be breathtaking.
You may also encounter local fishers cruising on their slender bamboo rafts. Luckily, you may come across one of the legendary fishing cormorants.
What’s more? You will be served a Chinese buffet on board. Remember you will be cruising on a 4-star Li River boat.
Once you arrive in Yangshuo, you will be taken to the countryside road by a local vehicle where you will start your biking experience. Known for its oddly-shaped hills pointing to the sky, tranquil scenery, and native leisure farming, Yangshuo is a beautiful place. Besides exploring nature in this region, you will also get an opportunity to learn the way of life of local people. You will visit a local farmer’s old house in the area.
After here, your tour guide and driver will take you back to your hotel in Guilin.
Day 3: City Tour to Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill and Reed Flute Cave.
You will be taken to see the Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin. It derives its name from its shape that bears a resemblance to an elephant imbibing from Li River. The caves and charming pagoda pierce and cap the hills has attracted many visitors for hundreds of years.
After the visit to Elephant Trunk Hill, we will take a short visit to Fubo Hill, a partially submerged hill. Named after Han Dynasty general, a revered (Man Yuan, 14 BC-49AD), the site offers a great, clear view of the city from the top. Revered Han Dynasty general shared a title with marquees who built its temple in the Tang Dynasty. The site will give you a great insight into Guilin and its history,
After the visit, you will have lunch at a popular local restaurant; don’t worry about what to eat as your guide will help you choose and order the dishes.
Our final destination will be to Reed Flute Cave, the largest and most picturesque cave in Guilin. It’s named after reed growing at its entrance and has attracted a lot of visitors for many years. Inside, there are magnificent rock formations that offer great backdrops for photos.
The journey is almost coming to an end, and it’s time to go to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. Your guide will escort you and help you through the security checks.
